Our kitchen will not be able to serve hot lunch starting May 17th. They will still be serving lunch; however, it will be cold lunch due to the building project. We would like to thank everyone involved with our lunch program this past year - staff, students, and parents. We still had the best hot lunch program in the state even working through the pandemic and a building project.

Here is the final tally for our Community Survey for the changes proposed to our football and track co-op. We had 160 respondents to our survey. Upon review, of the results Mott/Regent received, both communities were in favor of the same name, Hettinger County, the same mascot, Huskies, and the same color scheme, Blue/gray/and white. Our next plan is to have community forums to discuss the proposed changes. Mott/Regent will host theirs on February 24th - 5:00 PM in Mott and 7:00 PM in Regent. New England will host on March 3rd at 6:00 PM in the New England gymnasium.

After surveying our school community and reviewing the data from the NDDoH, administration has decided to ease our mask policy. The more than 80% drop in active COVID-19 cases since mid-November heavily influenced our decision not to extend the mandate. We still strongly encourage the usage of masks and students WILL continue to need to wear their masks when entering the cafeteria. There will be instances where they need to wear masks on buses. Also, teachers may request students wear them in their classrooms when underlying health conditions are a concern for that classroom and social distancing isn't possible. We expect students to be respectful of this request to ensure the safety of others. We need to continue to wash our hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or inside of elbow, throw the tissue away, and then wash hands. If your child is sick, please keep them home. They can still attend class via remote learning. Teachers will define their classroom expectations to their students. In the event, we see another outbreak, we may need to go back to our mask mandate.
