Parent's Night, for the Boys Basketball team is scheduled for Tuesday, February 22nd against Standing Rock. Parents need to be in the stands at 6:00 PM to be introduced in between games.

*Kindess Day tomorrow 5-12 students are welcome to bring money for Kindness quote cards, that will be sold during lunchtime. Small Kindness cards will be sold in a set of 4 for $1.00. Big kindness cards will be sold in a set of 2 for a $1.00. Money raised will be donated to a local charity.

Thursday, February 17th Johnny Apple Seed pictures for the newspaper will be taken at 3:00 PM. Apple Seeds: black pants, plain white T-shirt, black or dark shoes and socks. Kiddos: 2 piece pant pajamas. No characters! Socks. Pioneers: Colorful handkerchief for head, shoes (saddle shoes, keds, Mary Janes, flats, lace boots, cowboy boots. Rupert and Prescott: white shirt, black pants, jacket. Johnny: overalls, flannel shirt (long sleeve). Grandma: old long dress, shawl. Wolf and Bison: Dark socks and shoes. Characters: Sara, Molly, Kelly, and Rebecca need a plain dress.

New England Public School is looking for a Teacher Aide and a Playground Supervisor. The teacher aide will work as an assistant to, and under the supervision of, a certified teacher(s) who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students. The Teacher Aide is responsible to the principal through the teacher. As a Playground Supervisor you will be working with a team of people to ensure the safety of the children and promote their well-being at all times. The supervisor will be responsible for the children’s health, safety and happiness during morning and lunchtime play sessions.

Monday’s girls basketball game against Killdeer will be Parents’ Night. Parents and players will be introduced between the JV game and the varsity game. The JV game is at 5:00 PM, and varsity is at 6:30 PM. Parents can bring any food item as there will be a potluck following the varsity game in the commons area for players, coaches, and their families.

The girls basketball "Future Tigers" Night, is scheduled for Thursday, February 10th . There has been a time change. The first game will start at 5:00 PM. The little girls (Future Tigers grades K-4) need to be at school at 5:30 PH to line up and get ready for the festivities. Go Tigers!

The children in grades 2-6 who are participating in the play will be walking down to Memorial Hall with Mrs. Kathrein and Mrs. Belland right after school. Auditions will be done by 5:00 PM. Please be prompt in picking up your child. Scripts might be handed out tonight. Rehearsals start February 22 right after school.

LAST CALL for students in Grades 2 - 6 who are interested in acting in Johnny Appleseed. The New England Booster Club is sponsoring a children's theater beginning Monday with auditions and concluding this upcoming Saturday with two performances. Permission slips were due February 11; however, there would still be time to turn forms in on Monday. The forms were sent home and emailed twice. Join the fun!!!

Conferences for students in Grades 4-12 begin in the commons at 3:30 p.m. today and last until 6:30 p.m. The conferences for those grades are drop-in basis only. Mr. Burch, Mrs. Hafner, & Mrs. Hauglid are unable to be at conferences this evening. Conferences for Grades Pre-K, 1, 2, & 3 are by appointment only. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call the school office. Please be mindful of the schedule; conferences last ten to fifteen minutes. Thank you!

UPDATES TO THE SPORTS CALENDAR: ABC BOYS play at Beulah beginning at 3:00 p.m. MST on Tuesday, Jan. 18 ABC GIRLS play at Hazen beginning at 3:00 p.m. MST on Thursday, Jan. 20 A&B BOYS & GIRLS play at New Salem beginning at 1:00 p.m. MST on Saturday, Jan. 22. UPCOMING EVENTS: Scholastic Book Fair will be Friday, January 21 through Wednesday, Feb. 2. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on Wednesday, January 26 & Wednesday, February 2, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Students in Grades 4-12 DO NOT have scheduled conferences. They are drop-in basis on those two Wednesdays. Parents will receive notification of scheduled conferences for the younger students.
