The Hettinger County Huskies finished their 2023 season with a 28-24 loss to the eventual State Runners-Up, South Border Mustangs.  After a 1-3 start to the season, the Huskies rebounded to win five straight games to secure the #3 seed in Region 4, thus qualifying the Huskies for the 2023 ND State Football Playoffs.  In the first round of the playoffs, the Huskies traveled to Alexander to take on the Comets. In a thrilling overtime game, the Huskies prevailed 22-20 to advance the quarter finals of the state playoffs. The Huskies then traveled to take on the undefeated South Border Mustangs in Wishek. In an exciting back and forth game, the Huskies gave the Mustangs all they could handle in a very hard fought, physical game. Although the scoreboard did not reflect the outcome the Huskies were hoping for, the players left it all out on the field. The Hettinger County Husky communities could not be prouder of their team!
